● 2014 - 2017
In 2014, Freek became captivated by Formula 1 after hearing about a young Max Verstappen. Playing F1 2014 on PlayStation 3 sparked his interest in sim racing. In 2016, he bought his first Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 wheel, followed by a Logitech G29 and F1 Playseat in 2017.
● 2022 / 2023
In October 2022, Freek discovered Assetto Corsa Competizione and quickly became focused on GT3 racing. He moved away from the F1 games and invested heavily in his setup, adding a Direct Drive wheel, triple monitors, and a SimLab rig.
● 2023 / 2024
Freek switched to iRacing in December 2023 and quickly found success in GT3 and IMSA. He earned multiple wins, podiums, and top-five finishes in major endurance events, including the Daytona 24H and Bathurst 12H. He later joined Absolute Motorsport Acelith, claiming his first sim racing trophy with a second-place finish in the ARL GT3 Trophy Pro-Am Championship.
● 2025
Freek entered Maniti Racing’s driver shootout and earned his place on the roster. Now, he is focused on reaching the highest level of iRacing and winning a major Special Event in the top split.
